Shunter (Night)

Job Description: Class 1 Truck Driver / Yard Shunter

Schedule: Evening/Night (5:30 PM to 4:00 AM), Monday to Friday
Location: Client based in Candiac, departure from Laval

Main Responsibilities:

• Transport goods between Laval and Candiac while adhering to assigned schedules.
• Safely move trailers on the client’s site (yard shunting).
• Load and unload trailers as needed, ensuring the integrity of the goods.
• Complete and verify transport documentation (e.g., route sheets, delivery notes).
• Inspect the truck and trailers before and after trips to detect any mechanical issues.
• Maintain constant communication with the dispatcher and follow safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
• Experience as a truck driver and/or yard shunter (an asset).
• Availability to work night shifts, with autonomy and professionalism.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maneuver in tight spaces.
