This position is remote in the Greater Montreal area. Bilingual – Proficiency in French and English is required. Please submit your resume in English.

Job Responsibilities

Candidates must be motivated, self-sufficient, possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, be detail-oriented, well-organized, and proficient in AS400, SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for successfully developing and maintaining the account activities of established customers, distributors, and agents through proactive sales efforts and customer service.
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for responding to all inquiries from established customers, processing quote requests, entering orders, managing orders, and working with various functional areas of the organization to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include collecting and communicating data, market information, quotes, orders, order management, providing pricing, product availability, and basic technical information while ensuring the timely delivery of products and services. Successful candidates will have skills in analysis, documentation, and problem-solving, as well as a technical aptitude to understand product functionality, specifications, and application.
Specific Professional Responsibilities

  • Support the sale of products to customers by entering, managing, and expediting orders to facilitate timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Respond daily to calls/emails/faxes from customers, distributors, agents, and external sales staff.
  • Communicate technical information to customers, distributors, and end-users, including technical specifications, samples, and catalogs.
  • Process quote requests by providing pricing and product availability, and proactively follow up on quotes to win business and obtain market information.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge through certification of products across up to 6 product ranges, including custom products.
  • Collaborate with regional sales directors and agents to communicate customer requirements and proactively increase sales.
  • Liaise with supply chain, warehouses, regional distribution centers, and carriers to provide customers with desired products as quickly as possible.
  • Process customer returns and claims in a timely manner.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers, distributors, and agents in a professional and timely manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide backup and coverage for other team members.
  • Attend required training courses, obtain product certification.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, both at the departmental and enterprise level, and share relevant information with other team members.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives and objectives.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by your manager.


Key Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of AS 400 mainframe, pricing system database, query search systems, SAP-based and Windows-based application systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows XP systems.
  • Required analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude to understand product functionality, specifications, and applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Time management skills, particularly the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of the wire and cable industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual – French and English.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.


Qualifications

  • Minimum high school/college diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in inside sales / Account management / Customer service.
  • Bilingual – French and English required.
  • Must reside in the Greater Montreal area.
