Consultant – Implementation Solutions Analyst – Pension Administration

Aon is looking for a Solutions Analyst (consultant level) for our solutions team within pension administration. The team works closely with clients and internal teams to identify solutions that meet clients' needs and participate in their implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for a colleague experienced in pension plans who want to contribute to the design of future solutions.

 

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

 

This can be a hybrid or virtual role occasional visits to our Montreal, Vancouver or Toronto offices, as well as Canadian clients.

What the day will look like

As a Solution Analyst you will work with internal and external clients. You will also :

  • Understand the needs/requirements of clients and internal teams in detail
  • Document the needs/requirements of clients regarding solutions
  • Conducts a gap analysis between client requirements and available solutions
  • Participate in requirements review meetings with clients and internal teams
  • Understand administrative procedures and processes, adjust them and even challenge them, collaborating with the client
  • Develops and updates relevant documents on requirements for required features, data, self-service web functionalities, and reports
  • Provides subject matter expertise to clients and internal teams in the area of pension plans, pension administration, operation processes and administration platforms
  • Reviews test plan to ensure all requirements are covered and test plan is thorough
  • Ensures proactive follow-up of requirements documentation, manage client and internal expectations until final approval, in consideration of the project plan.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

The Solutions Analyst is an extremely detailed self starter, can self-manage their workload and projects, and adapt to the audience and evolving priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or equivalent work experience in an analytical area
  • 5-7 years of pension administration work experience
  • Expertise in available technological solutions and curiosity to discover new solutions
  • Knowledge of laws and standard processes', expertise on defined benefits pension plans
  • French / English bilingualism is preferred due to the frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Analytical skills and problem resolution in a collaborative environment involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with system implementations, desired.
