Our valued Financial client is actively seeking a Sr. Bilingual Java (Spring Boot) Developer to support a client document services application using REST microservices.
Initial 6-month contract with possible extension, working hybrid (3 days/week remote, 2 days/week onsite) in Montreal or St-Hyacinthe.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for web applications and Java services in the Document Management (Printing and Archiving) sector;
- Improve and/or develop computer systems to meet user needs by designing solutions, solving problems of various complexities, producing estimates of the work to be done, programming, testing, debugging and documenting the same;
- Participate in all phases of projects to ensure their completion by cooperating and advising users as well as ensuring that deadlines are met and communicating their progress;
- Apply the development methodology adopted by Intact to ensure compliance with established standards;
- Support production systems to ensure their functionality by ensuring on-call availability;
- Provide technical assistance to entry-level application development staff.
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years Java (Spring Boot) experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
- Typescript (Angular) development experience
- REST micro-services architecture
- Experience with databases MongoDB and Oracle
- OpenShift for containerization
- Operating systems/scripting: Shell, Unix
