Are you looking to thrive in a flexible, modern, and innovation-driven environment? We are hiring a Database Administrator for a fast-growing company with a strong North American presence. You will play a central role in managing, optimizing, and evolving the organization’s databases.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
Relational Database Management (SQL Server):
- Perform backups, restorations, and disaster recovery operations.
- Design optimized relational schemas (tables, indexes, relationships).
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Develop ETL processes using SSIS and generate reports with SSRS.
- Analyze and resolve database performance issues.
Technical Support and Collaboration:
- Translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams and directors to fulfill data requirements.
- Use BI tools like Power BI or QuickSight to create clear and actionable data visualizations.
NoSQL Database Management (DynamoDB) (a plus):
- Design and model NoSQL data structures in DynamoDB with a focus on performance optimization.
- Automate operations using scripts in Python or Node.js.
- Integrate DynamoDB with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Kinesis, and Glue.
- Configure and optimize read/write capacities for effective cost management.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with SQL Server (mandatory) and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB (asset).
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written) to interact with colleagues based outside of Quebec.
- Expertise with SSIS, SSRS, and ETL concepts.
- Experience with AWS and DynamoDB (an asset).
- Proficiency in Python or Node.js to automate database operations (a plus).
