Our valued crown corporation client is looking for a Senior IT Storage Solution Architect to support the replacement of a data center storage solution (Netapp) and improvements to a backup solution (Commvault)!
Initial 1-year contract in Ottawa, ON with strong possibility of extension for a total term of 3 years. This work will be completed in a hybrid environment of 8 days/month required on-site. 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week) with potential paid overtime required to work after-hours, including weekends.
As the successful candidate, you will work with the Network and Storage Services team to support the architecture phase for the replacement of the primary data center storage solution (Netapp) and improvements to the backup solution (Commvault).
Responsibilities
- Document and socialize the architecture changes for feedback and approvals
- Provide technical expertise during the implementation phase of installing and configuring the new primary data center storage solution and Commvault changes
- Participate in Operational support; patching, evergreening and incident management
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years experience working within an IT Storage environment (integration, development, testing, operations, etc.) /
- 5+ years experience with IT Storage equipment including NetApp and CommVault technologies
- Experience with Hyperscale
- Experience with scalable and highly available service-oriented architectures and working with Agile methodology
Nice-to-have Skills
- Experience working with ServiceNow
- Experience working with Azure Storage methodologies
- Experience with Cisco technologies (Cisco 9K, APIC)
