Our valued client is seeking a Senior Data Conversion Lead to support a finance modernization project from SAP to Oracle Cloud Fushion
An initial 1-year contract (with two 6-month renewal options). Remote work with occassional travel to office in Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa (once per month).
Responsibilities:
- Define the approach, tools, and timelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Align with project milestones and ensure integration with other project deliverables.
- Work closely with functional leads to understand business requirements and data mapping.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure alignment on data extraction and transformation logic.
- Ensure accurate mapping of legacy data to the Oracle ERP system.
- Validate transformation rules and approve mappings for all data elements.
- Establish validation criteria to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee reconciliation activities to confirm data consistency between SAP and target (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Lead efforts to extract data from SAP per mapping requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and rectify data quality issues.
- Plan and execute mock data conversions to test processes and identify potential issues.
- Use learnings to refine the ETL process and mitigate risks.
- Develop dashboards to monitor the status of conversion activities.
- Provide regular updates to project leadership on progress, risks, and issues on Scrum meetings
- Work with the security and compliance teams to ensure data handling complies with relevant standards.
- Ensure sensitive data is protected during extraction, transformation, and loading using best industry practice (CrushFTP, Metal Copy ect)
- Lead the final data conversion efforts during the cutover period.
- Support the resolution of data-related issues post-go-live.
Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in data migration and data conversion, ideally from SAP to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Experience managing end-to-end data conversion in large-scale ERP projects.
- Experience in Data Migration and Conversion from SAP (ideally ECC6 on-prem)
- Experience with Oracle ERP/EPM modules.
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica etc)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Fluent communication skills in French
