Manager, Product Owner

National Bank

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 3, 2024.

A career as a Director, Product Owner on the Operations Investment (OI) team at National Bank means being an inspiring leader who drives Low Code No Code (LCNC) initiatives. In this role, you'll play a key part in coordinating teams, managing project priorities, and ensuring communication with high-level stakeholders.

This unique position combines the responsibilities of a Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Team Lead to ensure the success of our LCNC team. You are the ideal candidate if you have an innovative mindset, agile organizational skills, and strong leadership abilities.

Your job :

  • Act as a Scrum Master for Agile OI LCNC development teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies and applying Agile principles and practices tailored to the team’s size.
  • Serve as a Product Owner by defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that the team delivers value to the client.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, provide regular project updates, and seek feedback to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with team members to remove obstacles, optimize performance, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with various partners to implement joint strategies that deliver an optimal client experience.
  • Represent your sector in various internal and external committees and partner roundtables.

Your Team

Within the Operations Investment (OI) sector, you will be part of a team of 7 colleagues and report to the Associate Vice President of the Dealer Operations, Reconciliation & Estate (DORE) team, which has over 180 employees in total. Our team is distinguished by its expertise and dynamism.

Basic requirements

  • Proven experience as an independent and innovative thinker capable of taking risks and exploring new approaches.
  • A proactive leader and change agent who can challenge the status quo constructively and professionally.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in utilizing project tracking tools and methodologies to efficiently manage progress and clearly communicate outcomes.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks and their application in various contexts.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
