IT Technician – Customer Focused

We are looking for a motivated IT Technician to join our client based in the west island. You will play a crucial role in providing daily user support and managing IT equipment. If you are ready to take on new challenges and contribute to innovative projects, we would be delighted to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support by efficiently resolving user issues, primarily through the ticketing system;
  • Prepare, configure, and ship IT equipment to users, ensuring a rigorous follow-up at each step;
  • Conduct on-site visits within the office to support users directly as needed;
  • Track each request in the ticketing system (e.g., Jira), prioritizing and closing tickets in line with service expectations;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure equipment delivery to the correct users, on time and meeting standards;
  • Manage communications with users, including maintenance announcements, ticket updates, and message distribution during deployments or urgent situations;
  • Produce and analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement and recurring issues affecting service;
  • Identify and implement solutions to enhance ticket management and communication with users;
  • Actively promote a culture of quality and client satisfaction within the team;
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures in each interaction, including call monitoring and evaluation of support responses.

Profile:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive approach and clear, positive communication abilities;
  • Bilingual in French and English, comfortable interacting with a diverse user base across Canada and the United States;
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of setting priorities and managing detailed follow-up on requests;
  • Experience in on-site technical support or ticketing system administration;
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence) or other ticketing systems (an asset);
  • Ability to work independently, with a high sense of responsibility and strong urgency management;
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes;
  • Attentive listening skills, detail-oriented, with a natural sense of diplomacy.
