Chief Business Analyst

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted September 8, 2024.

A career as a Chief Business Analyst in the Strategy & Evolution team at National Bank is acting as a liaison between the business teams and the delivery teams.

You act in agile mode and you are a member of a squad that manages and delivers business and technological projects for different sectors.

This role allows you to have a positive impact on our organization, thanks to your business analysis skills, which contributes to the implementation of new technologies.

Your job

  • Support product owners, business line partners and IT teams in their decision making and deliverables
  • Define scope of processes to be optimized and proactively support business planning for different deliverables
  • Lead workshops with multiple stakeholders at various levels and expertise Model current and target processes based on Bank mapping practices
  • Perform high-level, detailed impact analysis from all angles of the process with the help of experts
  • Apply best practices to identify and write business requirements (functional, non-functional, informational, transitional), understand their linkages and ensure traceability
  • Define, identify user test scenarios and support users in operational transfer
  • Make proposals for change management strategy to solution users.

In the Operations sector, you are part of a large team and report to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Evolution. Our Strategy & Evolution team’s mission is to support the transformation of operations and help develop operational excellence.

Prerequisites

  • Industry-related university degree with several years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of ServiceNow and CSM/FSO
  • Participated in projects involving ServiceNow practices and platform
  • Business analysis skills in a technology-based ecosystem
  • ITIL and ServiceNow certifications are assets
  • Experience in end-to-end business process transformation, change management and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of business process improvement and mapping: modeling, BPMN, lean approach
  • Appreciate and foster contact with internal/user partner.
  • Experience with test scenarios and user support
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, synthesis and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, …).
