Geotechnical Engineer

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted September 8, 2024.

As a geotechnical manager, you will be responsible for operations and technical resources, contributing to the growth of the department while actively participating in business decisions.

Desired Profile:

University degree in geotechnics or a related field.
8 years of experience in geotechnics with registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Strong skills in business development and project management.
Bilingual (French and English).
Driver’s license and vehicle required.

Working Conditions:

37.5 hours per week, with the possibility of occasional work on weekends.
Occasional travel outside the Montreal metropolitan area.
Salary according to experience.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Organize professional services to achieve company and client objectives.
  • Establish a business development plan in collaboration with management.
  • Manage daily operations and organize the work of the department.
  • Hire, train, supervise and retain staff.
  • Supervise the execution of geotechnical studies while respecting budgets and deadlines.
  • Control the quality of work on construction sites and review the documents produced.
  • Represent the company and provide training and conferences on topics related to geotechnics.
