Are you a seasoned human resources professional recognized for your strategic vision and ability to support an organization’s growth? We are seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources to lead our client’s HR function and actively support the company’s development in the construction sector.

As a key member of the management team, you will be called upon to play a leading role in the evolution of their practices, ensuring strong alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, administration, or a related field (Master’s degree an asset).
  • 10 years of experience in human resources, including 5 in a strategic leadership position.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, labor law, and dynamics related to the construction industry or a similar environment.
  • Ability to manage multi-site teams and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Strong ability to engage stakeholders and impactfully influence.
  • Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of HR systems, payroll tools, and performance indicators.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s vision and growth priorities.
  • Define performance indicators to assess the impact of HR initiatives.
  • Lead organizational development projects to drive engagement, continuous improvement, and overall performance.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and management, both for corporate and field positions.
  • Develop programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and experience.
  • Implement performance management processes including evaluation, training, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, as well as health, safety, and wellness policies.
  • Support skills development through training, coaching, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Work closely with management to ensure alignment between HR strategies and business issues.
  • Manage pay equity, benefits, and compensation policies. Oversee the management of labor relations, including conflicts, disciplinary measures, and work environment.
  • Promote inclusion, diversity, and equity within the organization.
