Deloitte Real Estate's Corporate Real Estate team has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Lease Administrator. This position will assist with our real estate leases, administration, lease database, and financial reporting and focus on reducing occupancy costs across our portfolio. The Lease Administrator acts as a relationship manager with local administration, landlords and brokerage firms.
• Within the position described above, the Lease Administrator will have the following responsibilities (but not necessarily limited to):
• Assist with the administration of the leased office & residential portfolio.
• Co-ordinates the database of leases, plans, and related documentation including key terms, financial reports, target dates, etc.
• Monitor operating costs and taxes within the limits of the lease agreement.
• Compile, analyze & report statistical information against benchmarks on occupancy charges, costs analysis and expense forecasts.
• Working with the financial team for plan and forecast reviews to accrue adjustments accordingly.
• Track facility management expenses across all regions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce facility management expenses across the portfolio.
• Together with the workplace strategy team, assist with ensuring space planning and allocation meets Deloitte's strategic objectives and provides cost effective planning solutions.
• Support business partners through their office building planning and strategy.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal partners and peers.
• Oversee small regional projects.
• Assist with development of project budgets, financial reporting and business cases.
• Assist with preparation of presentation materials.
Investing in infrastructure and real estate assets or other large capital projects, like delivering a new railway, developing a mine, or acquiring a stake in a pipeline, is a complex challenge and major investment. Optimizing the return, as well as the outcomes, throughout the life cycle of an asset takes a highly skilled and experienced team of specialists. Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team offers an end-to-end service for investors, developers, and operators in both the public and private sectors throughout the entire lifespan of an asset. Through years of experience working on some of the world's largest and most complex projects and transactions, our global network combines preeminent best practices with market-leading expertise, resulting in an in-depth knowledge of local markets and the range of infrastructure asset types.
• Must be fully bilingual (FRE/ENG) in both oral & written communications.
• 3-5 years professional experience lease administration and/or property accounting
• Knowledge of Real Estate industry, financial control & reporting, lease databases and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of lease administration, leasing, operating costs, taxes, etc. including recoveries from landlords.
• Versed on office buildings, performance, operating costs, hydro, taxes, etc.
• An ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
• Experience in a corporate or landlord real estate environment is important.
• Experience in managed services and or professional services is an asset.
• Knowledge/experience with property tax accounting is an asset
• Interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external clients, as required.
• Recognized ability to multitask, manage time effectively and work with modest supervision.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient interpersonal, probing, listening, and positioning skills.
• Completely conversant in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint.
The salary range for this position is $83,000 – $144,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
